Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together; cut in butter. Add egg and enough milk to make a soft dough. Roll 1/2 inch thick and line greased 9-inch baking pan with the dough. Cover the dough with sliced apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and molasses. Bake at 400 deg. F. oven for 30 min. or until browned. Sprinkle with sugar and bake for an additional 5 min. This apple pie recipe should be served hot.

Peel and slice apples. Sift dry ingredients together and combine with apples. Line a 9-inch pie shell with apple mixture and dot with butter. Cover with top crust. Bake at 450 deg. F. for 15 minutes and then reduce temperature to 350 deg. F. and continue baking for an additional 45 minutes.
Combine water, sugar, and cream of tartar and bring to a boil. Drop in Ritz crackers (whole) and keep boiling for 5 minutes. Pour mixture into a 9-inch pie shell, and sprinkle with lemon juice and cinnamon. Combine the ingredients for the crumb topping and sprinkle over the pie. Bake at 400 deg. F. for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350 deg. F. and continue baking for an additional 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm. This apple pie recipe makes 6-8 servings.
Place a heavy china or custard cup upside down in the center of a 2 or 3-inch deep baking dish. Line the sides of the dish (not the bottom) with pastry letting it extend a little above the top of the dish. Peel, core, and slice the apples and place them in the baking dish. Add sugar, spice, and water and dot with butter. Cover apples with pastry and pinch the edges together. Slash the top pastry to allow steam to escape. Bake at 450 deg. F. for 10 minutes; then reduce the temperature to 350 deg. F. and continue baking for an additional 45 minutes. When serving, slip a knife under the cup to let the juices mix with the apples. Serve with a hard sauce.

Cook the apples in the grapefruit juice until tender. Place the apples in the pie shell. Mix sugar and cornstarch, add to juice, and cook until clear and thick. Pour mixture over the apples and cool. Cover with whipped cream and sprinkle with cherries.
